"Pay attention to the world around you." That's what I tell my children at the slightest provocation, probably because it's my thing. Thanks to my parents encouragement to "look it up", and the after school special's "read more about it" list, gathering information is a daily, sometimes compulsive activity. It doesn't matter what, anything from an encyclopedia to the side of a cereal box, as long as I'm adding another byte to the drive. So what I suppose could have been cause for some sort of OCD therapy became "show preparation" for me.
I'm originally from Athens (AL), worked in south Tennessee, back to Huntsville, then to Tupelo, MS for a decade. When the offer from Q-107 came, it was a chance to get back a little closer to home. Oh, and to work for a music legend, Sam Phillips. Two things I didn't want to let get by.
Between my perpetual projects around the house, (a Mac MacAnally cd & something to build will help cure whatever ills you. trust me), I read (alot), act & direct in area theatre, explore under the hood of my computers (always Macintosh), and squeeze in an episode of The Dog Whisperer, Myth Busters and Smallville whenever I can.
I'm currently undergoing on the job parental training with one teenager, & one in elementary, and am married to the girl who's also my best friend.
