Jackson's the name... Hunter Jackson. Son of radio legend Jim Jackson. My job is simple. To play the absolute best Classic rock, Funk, Oldies, and best of today for all of the North Alabama, Middle Tennessee and Northeastern Mississippi. People hate to wake up to drowsy, dead beat, lame music, that's a fact! The best music of our lifetime came out of the generation of music we play here at Q107. I was inspired by my father who was also known as "The Last Radical Influence In The North Alabama Subculture. I started cutting commercials for him when i was 5 and 6 years old. I frequently went to work and on remotes with him. My birth was announced in a lottery over the radio. Dad was giving away a prize package for the caller who could guess my birth time correctly. IF it means i have to take the reigns Dad once had and be "FEARLESS" and not afraid to play what it takes, or say what listeners want to hear, I'll wear the title with pride! I use my REAL name on the air, unlike the cheesy competition, I have lived the music I play. I was born and raised through the classic rock music, listening to dad play the good music every morning and on my way home from school. He would have my favorite songs in the line up when he knew i was riding home from school. I watched a lot of concerts from dads rock/ funk bands to the Eagles and Lynard Skynyrd..... I've been there. Listeners know and appreciate it, and it gives me the Edge. Im very thankful to live and blast off in radio in a society and environment that im respected in because my dad was a big part of setting the radio tone in the Tennessee Valley. I'm very fortunate to have been guided by his friends and co workers through the jungle of radio since he passed away. He really paved a good way for me.
